Whether you are just learning how the pieces move, or are looking to further improve a specific part of your game, our private lessons can be used for whatever benefits you the most. Individual lessons are NOT standardized, but customized based on the student’s personal style. Whether you have an aggressive, passive, defensive, positional, or tactical style, we have courses that will improve your skills and guarantee to bring you from whatever rating you are into class B (1600-1800).
Group lessons are standardized and focus on fundamentals as well as thought process. End game study and both basic and advanced strategy are thoroughly covered. Individual Lessons and Courses

*Travel fees = $0.50 per mile + $10 for traveling time. Lessons coordinated with regular Mobile Chess Club meetings will not be charged for travel. Board and clock will be supplied; please bring pencil and paper (starting a binder is preferable). Payment is required up front for all lessons, and a contract with payment plan is required for all courses.
